“Thou shalt not take the Name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh His Name in vain”. Exodus 20:7, KJV.
The song goes like this: “Om hindu guruthu Cross Jesus guruthu Moon star islam guruthu ….. Rajahuli Rajahuli Snehakke jeeva nedo guruthu…..” which translates to: “Om is the sign of hindu, Cross is the sign of Jesus, Moon Star is the sign of Islam ….. Rajahuli Rajahuli (name of Kannada actor Yash in the movie) is the sign of giving one’s life for friendship…”.
Jesus called His followers friends and said He lays down His life for them. “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of My Father I have made known unto you”. John 15:13-15, KJV. “For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us”. Romans 5:7-8, KJV.
The song depicts that just as the Cross is the sign of Jesus, Rajahuli (Yash) is also the sign of a man giving his life for friendship. Just as Jesus lay down His life for His friends, the song says that the actor will also give his life for his friends. This is nothing but blasphemy and a mockery of Christ’s Sacrifice on the Cross!!!
Comparing a man to Jesus is prideful and arrogant indeed. The pride of life in man makes him want to elevate himself in the place of God. Satan tried to elevate himself above God in pride but God brought him down. This same spirit of Satan works in prideful people. No matter how high mankind wants to elevate himself, God resists the proud and brings them down. People reap what they sow. The spirit of Satan that works through the unbelievers of this world hates Jesus and therefore mocks Him and His sacrifice in movies and songs.
