Sky Sports – Breadth of Sport


Following from the success of Breadth 1, the Sky Sports creative team were tasked with evolving the concept and producing
a second phase to promote the end of the football season while looking forward to the coming summer of unmissable sport. Hand picking relevant VT moments from each sporting event we piece together an edit showcasing our exclusive rights footage. Using the same basic creative vehicle our VFX department developed the inky simulations in house using Houdini, Maya and Nuke, while our audio designer mastered an upbeat 40sec cutdown of Spencer Davies Group’s uplifting ‘Gimme some lovin’ which set the perfect tone for the promo.
Integrating the badges and text with slow motion shot footage ink inserts helped provide some structure and pace while keeping the messaging clear and on brand. Top and tailing the creative with our logo wipe in and out bookended the piece perfectly, cementing the visual as a fully realised brand promotion.Realised from concept to delivery in 5 weeks this second phase has evolved the original breadth promo further, and provided a clear, consistent, brand led messaging vehicle that ticks all the right boxes across is broad remit.
